Boat Tours in Venice: Ready to Set Sail Again

Gita in barca a Venezia - Gita isole di Venezia

19 November 2024

Despite the uncertainties surrounding tourism and the difficulties of planning due to the ongoing pandemic, we have completed all routine and extraordinary maintenance work on one of our boats. The Barracuda 58, with its biannual safety certifications in place, is ready to sail and welcome our guests in all its splendor.

As every year, the hull has been cleaned and repainted with anti-fouling paint, and the sides have been degreased and polished. Additionally, the main deck’s surface has been repainted in the most trafficked areas.

Naturally, all fire and life-saving equipment has been overhauled, and the engines have been serviced. Our second boat, the Barracuda, is also set to undergo maintenance and safety certifications. Meanwhile, we are completing the repainting of its superstructures, and it is expected to be operational by mid-May.

Our initial plan was to resume at Easter, but since that was not possible, we have postponed the start of the new season. For our tours to operate at their full potential, we first need the virus’s spread to decrease, and for museums, shops, bars, and restaurants to reopen. Most importantly, we need travel to be allowed, at least between municipalities, for which we must wait until we re-enter the yellow zone.

We remind our guests that our tours are conducted in total safety, as we have voluntarily imposed a 50% occupancy limit on the boats. The vessels are sanitized daily using certified alcohol-based products and are equipped with hand sanitizing gel for guests.

We remain optimistic and, as soon as possible, will be ready to resume our tours, offering you an unforgettable experience.
